GOOD PROTEINS
BAD PROTEINS
CHICKEN
Protein in chicken is considered good for your body because it is a high-quality, complete protein, meaning it contains all the essential amino acids your body needs to build and repair muscle tissue, making it beneficial for muscle growth, maintaining bone density, and promoting overall health, especially when combined with a balanced diet; additionally, chicken is relatively low in saturated fat compared to other meats, making it a lean protein source.
PROCESSED MEATS
Processed meats like bacon and hot dogs have very little nutrients, high quality and a very small amount of protein that is not the best quality. These also tend to have a lot of saturated fats which is a leading cause for cholesterol or high blood pressure. This can also lead to weight gain and obesity.
NUTS
Protein from nuts is beneficial for your body because it helps you feel full, provides essential amino acids for muscle repair and growth, contributes to maintaining a healthy blood sugar level, and can be part of a balanced diet to support overall health
CHEESE
Cheese can be high in saturated fats though it contains protein from the animal. Overeating grams of saturated fats can lead to weight gain and obesity. Having part skim or light cheese would be a healthier choice.
